As expected, the George V, Paris Four Seasons rooms are luxurious, well-appointed and glamorous, but what I did not anticipate was the level of personalization that comes with being a guest in this iconic hotel. I was overwhelmed with the surprise that awaited me upon returning from a robust day of sight-seeing and museum tour of the Centre de Pompidou’s latest exhibition of Salvador Dali. Fatigued, but ready to primp for an exciting dinner at L’Ami Louis, I walked into my room to find an amazing display of goodies for me to share with my fellow Gal Pals!
My jaw dropped when I saw the sugar sculpture the chef had created featuring my Weekend In Paris logo! A masterpiece created especially for moi?! I write this while still in shock and overwhelmed by the thoughtful gesture to use my logo as the feature design in the delicate, sugary concoction by the prestigious pastry chef extraordinaire – Lucien Gautier. It is truly a masterpiece of culinary proportions! As if this did not already blow my socks off, the chef had also included delectable petit macaroons accented with edible gold foil, and a replica chocolate Eiffel Tower fit for a queen. Just to make sure my sugar coma was complete, the chef also placed two petite-fours with the Four Seasons logo along side a bottle of Vieux J Pineau.
In Paris, luxury at it’s best is found at the The Four Season’s Paris! Please watch for more posts detailing my stay at this chic, manifique hotel.
Bon soir,
Priscilla
