Please enjoy this guest post about Paris Markets from frequent contributor Margo Waite:
When I’m in Paris, markets sometimes trump museums, and so it was when we went to the Musee Marmottan in the 16th. Certainly we enjoyed seeing Monet’s personal art collection, the impressionist paintings, medieval illuminated manuscripts, and the 19th century building (formerly a personal residence) which houses these treasures.

I am headed to Paris in the Spring! What could be better? Am particularly interested in finding vintage jewelry at flea markets…can you recommend which of the market(s) are best for something like this? Thanks in advance.
Dear Lori,
How exciting! Paris in the spring is always a good idea. I would recommend that you try Porte de Vanves and the Brocante flea market: http://brocabrac.fr/ or http://pointsdechine.com for others. Of course the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen is always popular but more furniture. Watch your purse at all of these, but at the Puces in particular.
Happy hunting!
Cheers,
Priscilla
