Where Have You Been?!

Dear Weekend In Paris Faithful,

Thanks to the many readers who inquired, “Where have you been?”  I have been unable to use the computer to write any new posts to this blog since having shoulder surgery almost three weeks ago.  I am not supposed to be on the computer save a few minutes each day.  This precious time on the computer has been spent paying online bills and returning well-wishers emails.  The other free time I have is spent on physical therapy for said shoulder and learning how to drive, shop and walk the dog without crying in pain.  I’m done with hazy, crazy medication to manage the pain and only on Advil so at least I am clear-thoughted (If that’s a word!)

I feel almost ready to pick up where I left off telling you about this year’s trip to Paris.  I never covered the sales (soldes) properly and I am not sure I reviewed every restaurant we enjoyed so those will be top priority.  I am also in the process of figuring out what kind of trip the Gal Pals will take next year.  More of France or perhaps a new country are options that I am considering for us.  I welcome any and all new ideas to be considered, mulled over and presented to the Gals.  Until then, Enchanté.

So glad to read that you are recuperating at least reasonably well. Have really missed your posts. We will be in Paris for two and a half weeks over Thanksgiving, and we’ll be there when the Christmas lights go on. The French do love lights and so do we!

    Bisous, Margo

Get well and thanks for the update! How about a barge cruise for your Gal Pals? There are cooking and wine cruises, wine and chocolate cruises, bike and barge, walking cruises, shopping cruises and the traditional float along the canals with glorious sights, beautiful scenery and gourmet feasts every day.

      Hi Beth,
I think we would consider a one or two night barge cruise. I will contact you directly from your website.
      Cheers,
      Priscilla

Eww, that sounds miserable!! Good luck with the recovery. I think I lost your subscription when I moved my site to wordpress.org. You can now get me at http://www.blog.france.co.nz instead.

      I subscribed again John!
How are things with you? Are the rebuilding efforts going ok? How are people’s spirits?
      Cheers,
      Priscilla
