What am I Packing for Paris? My List & Arriving Wrinkle-Free

Screen Shot 2013-07-04 at 6.52.32 AMGuess what? I am arriving in Paris wrinkle-free! Well, at least my clothes are, due to my “package packing” method. It’s summer time in Paris! Finally an excuse to break out the color. For whatever reason, women freak at the thought of packing for Paris. Figuring out what to wear can be the most stressful part of the trip, non? Make it easy on yourselves ladies and stick to basics. Below is my packing list and a short video showing you how to pack like a champ so your clothes come out wrinkle-free as well as how to fit everything into one suitcase and a carry-on bag. Packing for Paris has never been easier!

Thanks for the great tips! I love the “package” idea. Will definitely try this next time. I haven’t worn a belt in 40 years so definitely won’t be packing those:)

    Bon voyage!

Thanks for sharing your list and tips! Believe it or not, when I travel, I use only a carry-on. I’ve done up to 3 weeks. I don’t do Europe in the summer, so I’m able to leave the sunscreen behind – otherwise I’d likely buy sunscreen there.

    Oh, and when I pack, I’m a roller vs a folder 😉

    Enjoy Paris!

      Hi Robin!

I don’t know how you do it for three weeks with just a carry-on, but I usually can do a week that way. This time I have too many different experiences to accomplish that feat. Dressy, casual and in between.

So, you’re a roller eh? It’s hilarious how many travelers get set with one direction or another. I’m not trying to change the world, but I have traveled with so many people who pack poorly and have no room for their clothes on the way back that I figured I would at least give them one way of packing.

Thanks so very much for reading the post and watching the video, but most of all for taking the time to comment here. We must meet up in person one of these days when we are both in the same city!

Wow! Sorry, but that seems like overpacking, especially for a weekend(?) Way too many bottoms and shoes. I use Poché pouches in my bag and pack by classification. That way I can remove them for easy access while they stay in the pouch…tanks and lingerie, tees, lightweight bottoms, etc. I didn’t see you pack any toiletries and I never take a hair dryer, as apartments and hotels have them. I just take my mini universal flat iron in my tote as well as a lightweight cashmere this poncho and a cool roll up nylon raincoat by Deca, with lots of pockets and drawstrings.

      Hi Christine!
Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment. I am going for a week and have photo shoots and videos being taken with stops at dressy events and casual ones too so I need lots of options. I just took a trip with the same bags and lived out of it for three weeks! I like to think I am an efficient packer.
      When I go for a weekend I just need a carry-on!
I have been burned before on the blow dryer deal. Some hotels have the built in deal which does not have enough power for my thick hair. Plus, when traveling with friends and sharing a room we like to be able for us to both be drying our hair at the same time to save time. 🙂

I like your method for easily lifting out the clothes from the suitcase without disturbing them – I’ll try this next time I pack – Merci!
