Shopping for Kids in Paris

Living vicariously through Gal Pal Christine, I loved going to children’s boutiques in France to aid her in shopping for her young daughter. I only have boys so going on a hunt for pink made me one happy camper! We found loads of adorable, affordable options for Christine’s mini-me. Here are a few of our very favorite spots:

E wants to know when she can go shopping in Paris, as a three and a half year old she loves telling people that her dress is from Paris. Thanks to you she has many adorable Parisian dresses to choose from….it was an awesome trip : )

      Dear Christine,

Little E will one day be a gal pal, we know she is already a beneficiary of the gal pal shopping wisdom! I can’t wait to here about the puppet theater – if you have any photos, please pass them along.

Weekend in Paris is the best! I pretty much planned our whole trip around the information that I got from this site! So many articles on here were helpful to me. We stayed at the Hotel Relais Christine on the Left Bank. It was perfect for us! We loved being close to the famous Paris cafes and the unique boutiques. All of the Weekend in Paris shopping advice was so helpful. We especially loved Max, Gerard Darel, Allison and Bruce Field! As for dining…we followed your advice and ate at Cafe de Paris, Bofinger and Cafe Marly. Cafe Marly is the perfect place to go right after a visit to the Louvre!
Finally, I was so glad to find out about Snap Car! Once we got the hang of it, I was amazed at how easy it was to use! It was nice to just press a button on our phone to call what felt like our own private car. And the cost was very reasonable!
I am already dreaming about my next trip to the City of Light and when I do I will consult this website first and I will definitely use Snap Car!

Hi Gail! Thanks so much for taking the time to write in. I am thrilled that you liked the advice from this site and actually used it on your recent trip over spring break.
The Snap Car was key since it was unusually cold when you were in Paris. No waiting for taxis for you! I am so happy you liked the hotel and found great shopping for your teenager because a trip can be ruined if you don’t find the right fit (pun intended) for clothes shopping.
I enjoyed helping you plan your special trip with your mom and daughter. What great memories the three of you will have!

What a great site! Thank so much. I am panning a trip to Paris with my daughter for her 21st birthday. Based on your suggestions we have booked Hotel Lutetia for our 3 night stay. My daughter will remain in Paris for a summer abroad program. This will give her lots of suggestions on where to go. We can’t wait! I will check back often!

      Hi Terrie!
Your daughter is one lucky gal! Hopefully summer will show up by the end of June when you head to Paris. Your daughter will LOVE it and her time as a student studying abroad. If she doesn’t, send her home and me in her place. 😉
I hope you like the Hotel Lutetia and the shopping recommendations from this site. Please book your dining reservations now as it’s busy season and you don’t want to face long waits for the popular restaurants.
Please let me know if you need any more advice before you leave. I am only sorry we will miss one another by a few days. I would have loved to give your daughter a shopping tour!
