Notre Dame Church Dijon, have you heard of it? These photos are from the Notre Dame, right? The stained glass Rosetta looks right. The altar looks like it could be a side altar at Notre Dame. Humm, perhaps it is Notre Dame looking at the facade. Well, it is indeed Notre Dame…Notre Dame Church Dijon!

Notre Dame in Dijon is a demure version of the famous one in Paris. The building itself sits in a crowded area where a narrow, but relatively busy street leads up to the front. Unlike Notre Dame Paris, there is no grand empty plaza from which to view the beauty of its facade so one is forced to stand in the busy street craning their necks to peek up at the gargoyles guarding the church.

If you get so Dijon, please make sure you don’t miss this gem of a church and light a candle for me
