Good Night Irene!

What a difference a week makes!  Last Tuesday I was boasting how awesome Newport was this summer and posted photos to prove it.  Irene decided that my bragging needed to be squelched and came to town to make her point loud and clear.  I heard Irene and now I’m saying Bon Soir Irene!

All photos belong to Weekend In Paris – permission must be granted before use.

      Thanks Danielle,

We were very lucky! Thanks for keeping the plight of others who were not so lucky in the forefront.

      Cheers,
      Priscilla

    Hi,

My name is Jessie and I am a photo editor with ABCNews.com. We saw your before/after Irene photos on Buzzfeed (http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/before-after-hurricane-irene-pics) and were hoping to get permission to use them on our site.

They would appear in an before/after Irene slideshow online only at ABCNews.com and you would of course be credited. Please let us know if this would be okay with you!

Our phone number is 212-456-1522 if you have any questions.

    Thank you,
    Jessie Schwartz

      HI John,
We’re all good and in fact, we’re the lucky ones. There are pockets of areas still without electricity and many rivers are flooding homes. We are by the ocean and ironically it proved to be the safer place.
Hope you are well! I am going to start planning the next Paris trip next month. I am not sure who is going so I am going to just book my travel and if I have to go solo then so be it!
      Cheers,
      Priscilla
