And the Winner Is…

Business Attire White Wine Jeff

… Jeff the tutor!   The Rosetta is definitely a close second for one reason – to be able to speak one must have the vocabulary at the ready.  The Rosetta makes sure that the vocab is drilled into your head so that when someone is speaking to you there are at least a few key words that will help orient you to the subject matter.  What Jeff offered was the “realism” in the dialogue and repartee that happens in the natural course of conversation that simply cannot replicated by The Rosetta.

Two things are clear – One, I need a gazillion more hours of conversations with Jeff to supplement what I am learning from The Rosetta and two, I must put forth more effort to the listening parts of French II.  I am going to try to close my eyes and concentrate less on spelling/grammar and spend more time trying to commit complete phrases to memory.

Okay, so we did not have Bordeaux tonight – we had vin blanc instead.  It  was nice and I enjoyed my friend helping me learn some new things.  I have written them down and will commit to memory before Sunday when we will hopefully meet again.

On my post Day Neuf I promised you an updated photo of Jeff so you could vote which one you like better… really I just wanted to see if I could make a poll and insert it into my blog.  Hope you will vote so I can see if it works…

      How’s your French going?
I did not pick up any books, but did pick up some newspapers that seem to help quite a bit!
